The temperature was 14 degrees today! The lambs enjoyed running and playing outside. Unfortunately, my kids and I are all battling a cold. However, the real excitement of the day was the arrival of my Vessey Seeds order! Wohooo! There is broccoli , tomato plants, cucumbers, pumpkins and so much more. Tomorrow we will begin planning our starter plants.

I received my quilt from my amazing friend Jacki Bennett yesterday. So very beautiful. She is such a talented quilter. I used war of 1812 fabrics, with our lovely wool batting. Keeps us cozy warm.

Check out some photos soon!

The month of April has flown by! We trust you have been able to enjoy some beautiful Spring weather. We have many broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, tomato, and sunberry plants waiting to get their roots in the garden, but we are still having a few frosty nights so it will have to wait! A few more days of extra piecing and quilting!

This month we are introducing our new

MINI LAP BATT : 45” X 60”

Reg: $32.99, introductory price of $28.00

We have had a busy month as our customers continue to spread the word about our luxury batting. Here are a few comments taken with permission from a longarm chat list:

The first night I slept under it I didn't even have the binding done. Now this is the important part. My husband loves it as much as I do! He has problems with his feet and ankles, and can't tolerate a lot of weight on them. I have low blood pressure and always go to bed cold, but when the furnace comes on in the morning, I have to throw off everything because my own personal furnace is running even hotter. This quilt is the nicest piece of bedding either of us have ever slept under. It is as lofty as the first time I put it on the bed back in January, and to snuggle under it is, well, I can't think of the right words. Very soothing, not too hot, not too cold, but just like a cocoon. Not too heavy, and not too light. My, I sound just like Goldilocks. Sandra R., ON

…wool batting produced I really like is that of http://www.cedarviewfarms.org/ This is an organic, free range farm from Suffolk sheep in Canada. The wool itself is 'grown' there, but produced here in the United States. The wool is wonderful, minimally processed and really soft. … The beauty of wool is that it's completely organic, and it breathes. Very light and comfortable
